We are shocked and completely gutted to confirm that Slayer have reported that guitarist Jeff Hanneman has passed away.

We have some very sad news to report, Slayer just announced that founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman passed away at 11am this morning in a Los Angeles hospital due to liver failure. Slayer posted the following on their Facebook page moments ago: Slayer is devastated to inform that their bandmate and brother, Jeff Hanneman, passed away
